It has inspired me to check these games + Symphony out (and hopefully one day my Japanese gets good enough to play the untranslated ones too). Last Resort. 45 Megs for the Neo*Geo. A poor man's R-Type, heavily influenced by R-Type, though brutal in its game play with pattern memorization through it's 2 loops difficulty length. It's truly one of the best side scrolling shooters for the Neo*Geo.

Super happy to have found this channel. I grew up on Nintendo consoles and then just casually branched out to indie games on Steam and stuff like Fallout/Metal Gear. It's wild how little information there is on these console and most of the games. Makes me want to get into it.

The DOS version of Rusty is good however, I'm not aware of an English translation for it as with the PC-98 version. I'd love to see this game come back for modern consoles as long as they don't ruin the game while trying to update graphics. If a modern remake becomes available, it should also include the original game.

I miss the days of beautiful pixel art like in this game. I was eagerly anticipating getting this as one of my last SNES games then being disappointed to find out it was Japan only. I'm not really interested in the 3D remakes of this series as it's all about the pixels for me!

This channel has helped me discover so many older Japanese PC games. I don't have a PC-98 but I do read Chinese and a surprisingly large amount of these games have been ported to Windows in that language. Will definitely try it out when I get time.

No wonder noone made a Longplay of the of the English MSX version. It looks very problematic. Just like the previous version the x68000 seems t be best versions, Such a Shame they arent translated

Sengoku 3 is really fun, it lacks personality like the other 2 but is more polished gameplay wise IMO.

I have the Saturn version that was translated to English, but I can't get it to run on the Saroo flash cart. Can anybody help me figure out how to get it running on original Saturn hardware?

I would say it's more helpful to mention any English patches _before_ you get into the spoilers. That's usually the key detail of whether I'll play through it or not, or would even be able to understand the story if I did. If a patch isn't out yet, even for a game I want to play, I'll probably have forgotten a lot of the story details by the time one does come out, if ever. Even so, I appreciate you labeling the spoilers. I know too many other channels that get into deep spoilers with no warning to the point that their videos are basically unwatchable to learn about something new.

It's a rather rudimentary plot with fake-out deaths and the gameplay seems a bit stiff to somebody who's used to modern games... but man, if I played it back then I'd be so impressed with what they did. Though I also notice they didn't make any definitive decision on which possible romantic couple became canon... even back then they knew to keep things ambiguous to not upset people who'd prefer one option or the other, I guess.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who loves this game! Super fun gameplay and the combat animations are gorgeous. As for disk 8 not working, the passing of time is kind to nothing and no one. Old hardware and software breaking down has been the reason for some questionable purchases of mine, like my recent purchase of a Wonderswan which I had wanted for years. There's no good reasoning, not many games I'm interested in, but the console is so unique and I wanted to play it before it's too late. All those devices are now on borrowed time, and unfortunately, so is your PC-98. All the better then that you take your time to show off these games and the original hardware while it's still possible.

So I'm bad at SRPGs, but I still like to try them (like Farland). I don't like the npcs dont grow, and take away from the main chars. I really like the battle backgrounds and that theres a partial english patch. Thanks for shining light on this wild game. Such a great channel!

What a batshit insane plot this one has. Re: your question, I like that you have a warning sign for spoilers but no, I'd never even dream of playing this one. While it's a bit too "out there" for me, I applaud how original it seems to be and I lament the fact that in the current industry this kind of experimental game is nowhere to be seen. Sure, there are tons of indie games but most of those are nothing like this game.

I never heard of this game before, but it looks awesome!! This is one of the many reasons I love this channel so much, it helps me discover new fantastic IPs to explore!
